SDK stands for software development kit, where this provides environment to work with android programming. SDK provides libraries and software systems for developers. This is the collection of packages, libraries, hardware platforms etc..
To work with android studio or eclipse while doing android programming you need to install SDK. In this article you will learn about installation of SDK.
First you need to learn from where you have to download SDK.
Step1: You have to visit official site to download latest version of SDK for your computer.

Now installation of SDK on your computer, after downloading software development kit.
Step1: After downloading SDK you need to open that for installation. It must detect java environment on your computer. It means that you must have to install Java, JDK, and JRE on your computer. Then after you have to configure environment variables.
Go for "Next" in this step.

Step2: In this step, you have to choose to whom you want to give access to your SDK environment.
Only you want to use it's available for everyone. That you have to decide while installing
Go for "Next" again.

Step3: Select path or location where you want to store your SDK files.
Go for "Next" after choosing a location.

Step4: It will ask for a shortcut on your start menu or creation of SDK folder on the start menu.
Go for "Next"

Step5: Here in this steps it will install all the required files of SDK or copy all the file to your location.
And finally, it will say completed: Go for "Next".

Step6: Go to "Finish" and start SDK manager.

Step7: Open SDK manager on your screen, choose files those which you want to install or which are required for the ndroid development environment. That's it.
